A Journey of Inspiration

During 2020, as the world retreated indoors at the onset of the COVID‑19 pandemic, I found myself moving back home to Michigan from New York City—graduating college on Zoom and facing unexpected spare time. Like many, I was searching for something creatively fulfilling that could bring comfort not just to me, but also to my community. Then, at Christmas 2021, my mom gifted me a candle making kit. I’ve always loved candles, but that kit sparked a passion that transformed into Homeglow Candles.

I started Homeglow Candles as a small, locally rooted business in Michigan, dedicated to creating eco-friendly, cruelty‑free, and non‑toxic candles that truly smell like home: Michigan Summer, Michigan Fall, Michigan Winter and Michigan Spring. Then, other scents within the seasonal collections began to take shape. Gathering Michigan-centric scent inspiration from bonfires and smores with camp friends to quite strolls along the lake, nature trails during the springtime, and a cozy kitchen on thanksgiving.
